Amanda's Birthday

Last week Amanda turned 14 and Terryn 11. As we take it turns for parties it was Patrick and I's turn to celebrate with Amanda. So the responsible parents we are we dutifully took the family to a family diner and made them wear moose heads whilst the whole restaurant sang happy birthday!

Amanda being the great sport she is threw herself into the rutual embarrassment, she's a trooper. Fun was had by all.

Terryn will be having a 'Build A Bear' party at her Mum's next week so hopefully we should have some photos next week.

Mooose

So meet the family, Terryn (11) Amanda (14) and Patrick (42) going on (14)!

Introductions

Hello we are the Legge family (pronounced LEG) , allow us to introduce ourselves,

PATRICK DOUGLAS - 1963 - Handsome, rugged, strong, execllent bodily functions that he feels free to share, love/hate affair with golf. Manages an Auto Body Shop , lives under the dis-illusionment that the Canucks can win the Stanley Cup!!!!

ALISON LYNN - 1970 - Ali to her friends , though NEVER in front of her Mum, short , cute and funny, and ALWAYS right , even when she is wrong, accountant with BA in History (??), lives under the disillusionment Villeneuve will win F1 title this year!!!!

AMANDA MARIE - 1992 - PERFECT, too pretty by far and way too smart for her own good, still at school , lives with the disillusionment that she can beat the system.

TERRYN ANNE - 1995 - PERFECT, tall and slim, incredibly kind, still at elementary school, lives under the disillusionment that those eyes (oh those eyes), when filled with tears will make Daddy forget she has just taped over the 1994 series!

We are a normal , hard working, dysfuntional family trying to make our way in this crazy world. With more ups than downs, not enough money and time, but whole heapings of love and strife.

I am starting this blog so that in this 24-7 disposable society we can do something as a family, something that can prove we are a family and not 4 strangers sharing a house (thats is how it feels with teenagers....right???)

So stay tuned as I am sure that drama/tears/and unashamed laughter is right round the corner.
